Microsoft Windows Media Player is prone to a remote code execution vulnerability when handling specially crafted media content.
The vulnerability is caused due to an error in wmp.dll when deallocating objects during a reload action. By persuading a victim to open a specially crafted web page containing a crafted media content, will trigger an object deallocation error and the remote attacker could execute arbitrary code on the target system with the privileges of the victim.
